Mowalola, A Nigerian-British Designer has been picked by Kanye West as Design Director

Kanye West unveiled his latest venture - a 10 years deal with gap on Twitter. He also went further and announced Ogunlesi as the Design Director.

Mowalola Ogunlesi first came into limelight with her graduate collection from the prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2017.

Ogunlesi was raised in the UK, however she stays close to her Nigerian roots which according to her continues to inspire a number of her designs.

While speaking to the W Magazine she stated  that whenever she was in Lagos, she always ensure she looks outside and watch history

Interestingly, it was Lagos that inspired her debut collection "Psychedelic" which showcased.

The buzz created around her creations led her to style top celebrities like Solange and Drake. 

This same special creativity was  what most likely convinced Kanye West to offer her the position. This new found opportunity will surely continue her meteoric rise in the Fashion Industry.
